Space heritage is just over the horizon for our state-of-the-art ARIETIS-NS!

Tue, 16 Jul, '24

InnaLabs® are proudly looking onward to October 2024, where a critical moment in the history of our ARIETIS-NS gyroscope system will take place. The ‘HERA’ mission from the European Space Agency is set to blast off in just 3 months from now, a mission that comes following years of extensive planning and development to get to this very moment. Our state-of-the-art 3-Axis Rad Tolerant Gyroscope System is no exception to this.

The ARIETIS-NS itself arrived after years of internal development at InnaLabs®. A dream to craft a highly flexible, low-cost, low-mass gyroscope system that could be customized to fit whichever specific needs and specifications were needed of it was finally realized in the summer of 2023 after years of tireless work to see that dream finally realized.

InnaLabs on Board! Hera Planetary Defence Mission

What makes the ARIETIS-NS so special?

ARIETIS-NS, an ITAR-free and space-qualified gyroscope system, covers a wide variety of applications from earth observation, telecom, and space exploration. Built to withstand the harsh conditions of space, this gyroscope has been developed and fully qualified as per a mix of ESA and IPC standards, which allows us at InnaLabs® to adjust to whatever requirements are demanded by the customer. Successful flight models have already been delivered to multiple customers.

We live in an age where broadband services are constantly in ever-increasing demand across the globe, with a growing fleet of satellites needing to be sent out in order to facilitate this expanding broadband network, and the ARIETIS-NS gyroscope has been crafted to aid this growing demand.

Low cost, less-mass, less power consumption while maintaining high performance. These are a few of the reasons that the ARIETIS-NS will see itself launching off as a key component of the HERA mission from the European Space Agency, which will seek to explore the effects of altering the trajectory of an asteroid should Earth ever need to defend itself from an incoming projectile in the future.
