Quality Inspector

 

Role Purpose

A key person within the quality team who provides inspections of raw materials, in process assembly and finished goods along with all customer documentation.

 

 

Key responsibilities of the role

  • To complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) and additional inspection activities.
  • To support our suppliers in helping us deliver quality product to our internal customers, through product & process investigations & evaluations.
  • To support R&D department with various projects.
  • Coordinating the manufacturing of measurement instrumentation in a challenging, highly regulated business and integration of diverse technologies within a complex supply chain.
  • Assess supplier capability to meet quality requirements to ensure supplier processes are an effective fit with InnaLabs requirements.
  • Check specification and tolerances when requested from either production or suppliers and complete the associated tasks.
  • Participate in design changes of component and assemblies to enhance product and reduce operator error.

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of Quality Organisation.
  • Ideally 4 to 6 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum of a third level qualification QQI (Certificate/Diploma/Degree) in an appropriate discipline (Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics)
  • Excellent analytical skills, judgement, and a good understanding of statistical techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of Mechanical and Electromechanical measurement systems.
  • Good knowledge & experience of Inspection Methodologies such as PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-A-610).
  • Good knowledge & experience of Inspection & metrology of machined metal parts.
  • Good knowledge & experience of Precision Coordinate Measurement Machine.
  • Good knowledge & experience of Machined and moulded metal parts.
  • Advanced knowledge & experience of General Inspection to Drawing; Commercial off the shelf components, inspect against vendors item or model number.
  • Advanced knowledge of Geometrical Tolerancing (e.g. true position, perpendicularity, concentricity, angularity, roundness etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge & experience of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Experience in being part of a team and ability to work in technically complex multi discipline areas.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
