InnaLabs® has been awarded the contract for the European Space Agency (ESA) [Copernicus LSTM Science mission (Land Surface Temperature Monitoring)](http://www.esa.int/Applications/Observing_the_Earth/Copernicus/Copernicus_expansion_missions), with Airbus Defence & Space (ADS) selected as the prime contractor. This is another success for [ARIETIS](https://www.innalabs.com/arietis), which is being developed in Blanchardstown West Dublin. The purpose of this mission is to respond to priority requirements of the agricultural user community for improving sustainable agricultural productivity at field-scale in a world of increasing water scarcity and variability.

Dublin, Ireland., 15th September 2020 - InnaLabs® is delighted to announce that **[ARIETIS-NS](https://www.innalabs.com/arietis-ns)**, a Rad-Tolerant Gyro System has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA), OHB and GMV for **[Hera; A Planetary Defence Mission ](https://www.esa.int/Safety_Security/Hera/Industry_starts_work_on_Europe_s_Hera_planetary_defence_mission)**to support deep-space navigation.  The contract was signed at ESA’s ESOC centre in Germany, by Franco Ongaro, ESA Director of Technology, Engineering and Quality, and Marco Fuchs, CEO of Germany space company OHB.

InnaLabs® is delighted to announce 40 new jobs over the next three years as we expand our manufacturing, research and development operations. As one of Irelands’ leading Space companies, we have garnered a space heritage through our successful delivery and operations of gyroscopes for LEO constellations. In 2018, InnaLabs® announced a €2.6m contract with the European Space Agency and the objective of the contract is to develop, manufacture, and qualify ARIETIS. The end applications of ARIETIS are scientific missions (e.g., PLATO) as well as LEO for Earth Observation, MEO for Navigation, and AOCS in GEO with an in-orbit lifetime of up to 15 years.
