I. JOB DESCRIPTION
Rapidly expanding company in the inertial
sensors and systems development and production is seeking an experienced Sales
Manager. This role will be part of a team, responsible for sales and marketing activities
and will be reporting to VP of Sales and Marketing. The requirements of the position encompass
identification of relevant applications, programs, projects and customers –
penetration of potential customers across engineering, purchasing and program
management at multiple levels – identification of new business opportunities –
working with key persons at the customer’s facility to ensure that quotations
and proposal meet customer expectations – and closing the deals.
II. Skills
Must have:
- Extensive field sales
experience with aerospace and defense primes and tier 1 suppliers involving
complex engineered products and technology;
- Solid technical acumen,
engineering degree preferred;
- Strong presentation
skills;
- Understanding of
program payback analysis;
- Strong relationship
and customer development skills;
- Solutions selling –
ability to identify customer needs and create a solution with company
capabilities;
- Must have aerospace
and defense industry experience and success with custom design of complex
products;
- A demonstrated track record of producing high-level sales
results in an Aerospace and Defense market.
Should have
(objective):
- Extensive field sales
experience of inertial sensors - accelerometers
and gyroscopes;
- Understanding of
types, designs, fields of applications, main suppliers and basic parameters of
accelerometers and gyroscopes;
Understanding of inertial navigation, stabilization
and orientation systems (IMU, INS, AHRS): types, designs, fields of
applications, advantages and disadvantages, main suppliers and basic
parameters.
III. Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships
within assigned accounts to defend and grow business;
- Interface with inside sales
groups to ensure timely response to customer requests;
- Ensure divisions meet and exceed
customer quality and delivery metrics;
- Works closely with Company high
level Management to identify and support Group synergies;
- Develops marketing plan and the
strategies, tactics necessary to achieve sales and marketing goals for assigned
territory and accounts;
- Within customer accounts, develop
an organization chart that identifies key buying influences for each division,
within Engineering, Procurement, and Management;
- Working with whole Sales team,
gathers and provides market intelligence;
- Supports a system-wide marketing
reporting function that can track, measure, and analyze performance;
- Coordinates marketing efforts
within accounts to meet strategic plans and objectives;
- Makes customer presentations to
explain the Company’s products and services;
- Supports trade show
activities;
- Develops and maintains strong
relations with customers through consistent contact.
IV. Preferred Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in
Engineering
- 5-10 years experience
in Aerospace and Defense, Oil drilling and Transportation product-related sales
and marketing.
