Subsea Exploration

Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) for underwater share similar challenges to USVs and UGVs, however the navigation and guidance systems cannot be augmented with GPS when the vehicle is submerged. Therefore any system has to rely solely on its inertial (and in some cases visual) guidance. Accuracy of navigation is therefore critical, and the extended duration of many missions means a low bias drift is very important.
